About
I am a climate scientist working at the intersection of Earth-system science, ice-sheet dynamics and long-term climate change.
My research explores how climate, ice sheets, oceans and the solid Earth interact across timescales, from past climate transitions to future sea-level commitments.
Alongside my research, I am actively involved in international scientific coordination and science diplomacy, particularly through the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and the SCAR research programme INSTANT - Instabilities and Thresholds in Antarctica.
Communicating climate science beyond academia is an important commitment for me, and I regularly organise activities for schools, community groups and wider public audiences.
As a hobby, I also shoot and edit videos of the places I visit or study, using images and sound to convey something of their atmosphere and emotion beyond the science.
